Key research areas

  • PepT1-mediated peptide transport
  • NF-κB and MAP-kinase inflammatory signalling
  • Intestinal epithelial biology
  • Cytokine and chemokine responses
  • Minimal-sequence peptide pharmacology

Potential benefits observed in research

  • Reduced inflammatory-messenger production reported in cell studies.
  • Attenuated intestinal inflammation observed in animal colitis models.
  • Active at remarkably small size, enabling transport-mechanism research.
  • Studied without the pigmentation effects associated with its parent hormone.

Reported observations from published studies under controlled conditions. They do not establish the safety, quality or performance of this research material.

Research documentation

KPV — 10 mg

KPV is a tripeptide composed of lysine, proline and valine investigated for its influence on inflammatory signalling in experimental systems. Research in intestinal epithelial and immune cells has examined uptake through PepT1, a transporter that moves small peptides into cells. In these models, investigators reported changes in NF-κB and MAP kinase signalling, pathways involved in cellular inflammatory responses, alongside altered production of inflammatory messengers. Related animal experiments have explored intestinal inflammation. KPV is scientifically distinctive because its compact three-amino-acid structure allows researchers to examine relationships between peptide transport and intracellular signalling.
